Frequently Asked Questions Relating to Smoking Cessation

See page What is Hypnosis? for general FAQ about hypnosis

Q: How many sessions does it take?

A: One single session lasting approximately one and a half hours can help you become a successful non-smoker.

Q: Will I put on weight after I stop smoking?

A: This is a common concern and I specifically address this during the session to alleviate the risk of eating more after stopping smoking

Q: What happens if I start again?

A: It is said that it takes 21 days to establish a habit and 21 days to disestablish a habit. Hypnotherapy is used to help you over that initial period of change and minimise the withdrawal effects, which often make it difficult to stop smoking with willpower alone. After that, you are no longer a practicing smoker and there is no reason for you to smoke again, unless you choose to do so. You are a person of free will and can chose whether or not to remain a non smoker (and with all the benefits, why would you chose to go back to such an undesirable habit). If you decide to start smoking again more than 3 weeks after the session, then you would require to pay the full cost for a further session. However, if you started to smoke again within 3 weeks of the original session, you would receive a further session free of charge, as long as you notify me within the 3 week period. You should be aware that sometimes people find it so easy to stop smoking with hypnotherapy that they kid themselves that they are in control of the habit and can choose to have a cigarette now and again – that is a mistake

Q: How much does it cost?

A: £120 -  less than the cost of buying 20 cigarettes per day for a month
